Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients find the perfect eyewear solution in collaboration with the Doctor and be knowledgeable about the latest trends in eyewear. We encourage you to apply if you are dedicated to helping others and possess strong retail sales and medical knowledge.
Duties:
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their style and meets their vision needs
- Take accurate measurements of patients' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses
- Interpret prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists
- Adjust and repair eyewear
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Collaborate with the optical laboratory to ensure timely delivery of eyewear orders
- Maintain inventory of eyewear frames, lenses, and other optical supplies
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to vision care
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices and procedures
- Strong sales skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients
- Experience with medical billing is a plus
