Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients find the perfect eyewear solution in collaboration with the Doctor and be knowledgeable about the latest trends in eyewear. Duties:
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their style and meets their vision needs
- Take accurate measurements of patients' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses
- Interpret prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists
- Adjust and repair eyewear
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Collaborate with the optical laboratory to ensure timely delivery of eyewear orders
- Maintain inventory of eyewear frames, lenses, and other optical supplies
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to vision care
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices and procedures
- Strong sales skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients
- Experience with medical billing is a plus
